Our Commitment
The Warm Springs ID Portal ("we," "our," or "us") is operated for the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs to provide secure accounts — a Warm Springs ID, or WSID — to everyone who does business with the Tribes online. This includes both Tribal Members and members of the public who pay for Tribal services such as permits. Protecting your personal information and upholding Tribal data sovereignty are central to everything this service does.
Information We Handle
Creating a WSID requires only a phone number and/or email address. Tribal Members may take an additional, optional step to confirm enrollment: we perform a one-time match against official records held by the Tribal Vital Statistics Office. We do not store that source information in a readable format — verification is recorded using one-way encrypted tokens that confirm enrollment status without exposing the underlying data. Non-members are never asked for enrollment information.
- Contact details — a phone number and/or email address used for passwordless sign-in.
- Verification status — for Members, an encrypted token indicating that enrollment was confirmed.
- Account activity — sign-in events and security logs used to protect your account.
How We Use Information
- To create and secure your Warm Springs ID account.
- For Tribal Members, to confirm enrollment status when member-only services are requested.
- To deliver one-time passcodes by text message or verified email for secure sign-in.
- To grant access to Tribal services such as permits, land access, and reservations.
- To detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized access.
Tribal Data Sovereignty
Sensitive Tribal information is never sold, never shared with third parties for marketing, and never stored in a form that could be read if intercepted. Data handling complies with Tribal data protection requirements, and verification tokens are refreshed on an annual basis.
Data Security
All information is transmitted over encrypted connections and protected with industry-standard safeguards including firewalls, access controls, and audit logging. You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in contact methods secure, and for notifying us of any unauthorized use of your account.
Your Choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the contact information associated with your account. Because a secure account is the core function of this service, some data is required to keep your Warm Springs ID active.
